Sodium Carbonate Hydrate.

In class today we did a lab on Sodium Carbonate Hydrate to determine...
In a test tube we put in a few grams of sodium carbonate and we put it over a bunsen burner to turn it into water. As we let it the hydrate turn into water the colours changes from purple dark blue to light blue. We measured how much it weighs before we put it over a bunsen burner and after.We concluded that it weighs lighter after changed the hydrate into water.
